People gravitate toward other co-workers who like to let off steam and have a laugh. It instantly relieves stress and you are less likely to feel frustrated. But it is good to have boundaries and know when you have to work and when to have a laugh.
I do agree that it is very important to enjoy your job, work place and co-workers. With that said, I thought the book was:
un-original, boring, and somewhat insulting to the many hard working, fun loving professionals I know. Suggesting journals and logs to chart and rate your day to day enjoyment is riduclulous but not as ridiculous as shwoing up to a meeting wearing a clown nose. I do not reccomend this book. I certainly did not "enjoy!" it.
